Uncle Stinky wants to know ....... |
|
.... I know we need to leave them alone. And I will be most pleased to respect that. But today was their first day a new school. I saw a picture of them on their way early today. In a hugely armored Chevy Suburban. I mean .... heavily armored as in like a tank.
And in it were these two tiny little figures.
I wish them peace and happiness and a placid, normal life.
But I really want to know. How was the first day?

1. I hope they had a good day and liked their new school. |

It will certainly be an adjustment for them; mom is there to make sure they're OK and all the hullabaloo doesn't spoil them too much.
I just want to hug and squeeze Sasha, she is so adorable. May they both grow into beautiful, centered young women.

3. They are very appealing young ladies. |

I wish them well at their new school. I enjoy pictures of them, especially with Mom & Dad, when I know that the pictures are "okay"-- they know they are on camera and are alright with it.
I hope that, at regular and appropriate intervals, we get to share some of their special moments, when Mom and Dad think it's alright and Sasha and Malia are OK with it.
But other than that, I don't want to see them. I want them to have privacy and, so far as it is possible, normalcy. They do appear to have above-average poise and inner strength for young girls; Mom and Dad have clearly done a good job of giving them a strong center. But I've been a young girl and I know that it's full of moments that are not always easy and you certainly don't want to share them with millions of strangers.
So, thanks, girls. Vaya con Dios. Update us when you feel like it.
valedictorially, Bright

Thanks, Bright! That's my take on things, too. But today was such a special day for them. Transformative for them. I wish them the very, very best.
And, as you say ...... their privacy and normalcy.
