Only thing acceptable is public testimony under oath?

It still has to play out, but where I was defending that the Democrats would do the right thing, I am now just waiting and watching. I called my representative and Senators

Again, I will not jump to any conclusions, but see how this plays out

1. I think so...
This administration is full of cockroaches. We need to shine some light into the corners and see what scampers out.

2. A legal scholar said that the democrats are playing this out correctly
He said they are going thru all the channels. They are crossing their T's and dotting their I's. This will give them more ammo when they start to fight bush about the subpoenas. And that they are going to serve the subponeas and compel rove and miers and the rest to testify. So I think they will.

4. I agree especially since Tony Snow the official Spokesperson
of this Administration said three times today that Congress does not have oversite of the President.

One of the major mistakes this administration has made is by violating the Constituition Americans have become more civic minded. They are reading the Constitution, they are learning about the seperation of powers and about checks and balances.

The last laugh is on them.

6. john bolton was on the Daily show a couple of nights ago. It gave great insight
as to what this administration thinks. In fact it was chilling

In summary, he indicated that the administration is only accountable to the people who voted for them. In other words, he is not president of ALL Americans, only those who support him

9. I saw that and to think this man held the position that he did...
Bolton along with the administration are unable or incapable of thinking outside the box that they have created.

11. Appointing someone who believes the UN should not exist, as UN ambasador, unbelievable
That is why we are looked on in the world community the way we are

7. Hell yes....
... If there is some sort of "honor" in any of them, perhaps an oath will make them at least be mostly honest...

beside that, if they do get caught in a lie, then they can get prosecuted for the same thing they tried to do to Clinton, which was lying to Congress...

Testimony without an oath is as useless as a screen door in a submarine...

8. Yes. You would demand less? Why?
This administration has lied about so much, both domestic and foreign. They deny, persistently.

Let me ask you, why NOT request this administration produce witnesses, publically and under oath?

Why not?

What is a viable excuse without looking guilty?

13. I would accept public testimony under oath and a series of kicks in the ass...
...with pointy-toed boots.

But I am willing to compromise on that last point.

14. I'd compromise on that last point, too.
Why must they be pointy-toed? Why not kick them with a wide brim? And why with a boot at all? Perhaps a nice barefoot kick, if administered properly, would suffice?

And, while we're on the subject, why limit the kicks to the "ass?" There are PLENTY of places I'd like to kick them.

15. I look forward to reading your proposal.
Pointy Tony Lamas or square-toed Fryes. Barefoot would be icky. I don't wanna get no Rove juice on me. I suppose a bullwhip could be considered. I say lard it up so we have some room to move backwards. Ultimately we can give up all of the corporal punishments and keep the public testimony under oath.
