Now that the mainstream press feels more free to talk about the Bush years and more often about his disasterous legacy I hope that anyone who is doing research knows that every single day of Bush's terms was documented, discussed and reacted to here at DU.
It would be an interesting compendium.

5. and we were usually right on. |
|
It sure has been frustrating especially after 9/11 and the press was silenced because any opposition might cost them their jobs or reputations as unpatriotic.
Thankfully we got some truth that filtered out.

This is exactly why Bush will never be able to whitewash his shit stain of a Presidency.

4. and a glimpse of history |
|
there has not been a day when there was some outrage announced or uncovered. Of course all this history interweaves with Congress and culture. interesting certainly

8. I think we'd all like to see some justice done |
|
It's been frustrating for DUers to continually yell into the void about the lies and crimes of this administration and get no justice from our elective representatives, or the Justice Dept.

11. i came here a younger man, with hope and inspiration |

that that whitewash of a *politician would never make it into the oval office. I didn't know anyone, not sure i was even in the right place, just followed a link from will pitt that pointed to a new site...
now after a small lifetime of growing older and grayer and grumpier, i'm looking at a new blue sky. finally, knowing full well that each day is a new battle, still, afterall there is a hope of a fresh breath again, a new beginning. I can't conceive that it could be that dismal again while there is a slim potential of a change still possible.
yeah, i'm a dreamer. Thank you DU and each and everyone of you for tolerating me. I'm so much wiser now for your graciousness, infinate information, and patient understanding.

The inevitable good-bye ass kissing the following day (Friday) by the corporate mainstream media...They'll tell us "Bush is really a good guy at heart" and start naming some bullshit as accomplishments...Yep, it's going to be one long week and years to clean up Bush's law breaking and the destruction of everything he and his administration touched (and ignored).
