For the record both Bush and the Republikkans are correct

When republikkans talk about it they blame DUH-bya.

They're both right.

Had they, together, not thoroughly squandered their majority and mismanaged this country into record deficits, high unemployment, a virtually unregulated marketplace, an immorally unnecessary war, the destruction of our environment, the creation of rifts within our country to get that +1 voter in their 50%+1 scheme, etc they might actually have held onto the presidency, or the House and/or Senate.

As it is, they ran the institutions of this country over a cliff.

And the silly, laughably sad irony is...They'll use the last 4-8 years as proof why government is the problem, not the solution.
-The pathetically lame response in NOLA -- The Government failed all those people. Can't trust the government.
-Cronyism and corruption in government. -- Government and it's institutions are inefficient and will always attract low-lifes trying to line their pockets at the expense of the public. Can't trust em.
-The Failures of Military Hospitals -- Government failure at it's most appalling.
-Infrastructure Falling Apart -- Blame the government. Look at how these things have been left to whither through the inefficiency of government.

Funny thing is, these things only seem to fail when the republikkans and their little quislings are running the show.
When it's run by people who try to make it work, the government runs pretty damned well.
