Boycott Israel Campaign
Edited on Tue Jan-13-09 11:57 PM by Porschenut1066
Although nothing much seems to be possible to stop the Neocons who run Israel from killing the Palestinians the Jews in England who for the most part support Israel are absolutely disgusted with the actions of the IDF and have already signed a letter demanding that Israel stop the massacre that is occurring in Gaza. Further the many within Jewish community in England have decided that they will exert what little influence they have over the situation by starting a "Boycott Israel Campaign"
They have decided not to shop in Israeli owned stores or at stores that are large contributors to Israel.
So here is a list of some of the shops and brands they have identified for the boycott.

Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Clinique, GAP, Disney, Lancome, Giorgio Armani, Libbys, JC Pennies, L'Oreal, Kleenex, Maybelline,
Nestle, La Roche-Posay, Vichy Labs, kitkat, Victoria Secret, Johnson & Johnson, Sara Lee, Revlon, Kimberly-Clark, Home Depot, CNN,
IBM, Time Magazine, Nokia, AOL, ICQ, Intel, Starbucks, McDonalds, Timberland.

6. Some of these are very silly.
Disney: "Walt Disneys Millennium exhibition at the Epcot Centre in Florida depects Jerusalem as the capital of Israel."
Nestle: "The swiss company owns 50.1% of israeli food maker Osem Investment"
Kleenex: "In 1998 Mr. Robert P. Van der Merwe, chairman of Kimberly-Clark Europe received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu"
Starbucks: "Howard Shultz, the chairman of Starbucks is an active zionist."

7. First of all, that site doesn't have anything to do with the Jewish community
It's a Muslim website. Secondly, this is some of their logic...

"From 1966 onward Coca-Cola has been a stauch supporter of Israel.<4>"

...and the footnote...

<4>

http://www.israel-mfa.gov.il/mfa/go.asp?MFAH00ul0

The Israeli government website (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in its timeline of key events in Israels history lists only six events for the year 1966. One of the six acknowledges Coca-Cola's support for the zionist state:

"Coca Cola announces its plans to open a plant to produce Coca Cola in Israel, despite the Arab boycott"

1966? This is what they're using for evidence? And yes, I know it's not the only piece they have, but still really a reach. That even goes back to before the Six Day War. I'm not impressed.
