Since all the Shrub supporters think it takes 20+ years before you can judge a Presidency... |
|
shouldn't we all be looking at Reagan's legacy about now?
It has now been 20 years since he left office (or will be in a few days) so we should now have a better understanding of what his administration did to our nation, and the world.
We can start with supply side economics, then move on to his attitude that 'government is the problem" and his deregulation policies. Also all his cuts to social programs including public education.
On the foreign front we can discuss his arming Iran and the rebels in Afghanistan, both of these decisions have been disasters.
It is easy to go on and on about this. I just think we need to expose the one President since Eisenhower that the repugs can point to and say "see, we had a good one". They didn't!!!

But it would be helpful if Obama thaws out the freeze on release of information from the archives. And I will never agree with Junior's assertion that he gets a pass until after he's dead.

5. Actually, it takes generations to judge history. It is done best |
|
by intelligent people with no emotional ties to the events.
