A lovely slideshow of Obama in 2008, narrated by photographer - link below |
|
I just found this gem, and even though it was published in August of 2008, I thought the photos were fascinating and original and thought others might enjoy them too. Hope so! My favorite is the one of his profile backlit by a thin line, the rest of the image in shadow. Great photography... http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2008/08/27/us/politics/20080827-winterobama-mutimedia/index.html

2. Thanks for sharing these. I think Obama may be the most photographed |
|
President ever. And I agree with the photographer, even in silhouette, he's the most recognizable figure in modern history.

3. neat, isn't it? I know it's not "current", but I found it uniquely refreshing compared |

to the massive amount of news photos (which I love, too, but they are often repetitive in their straightforwardness. As documentary images should be, that's their job!). It was just nice to come across something different, though, too.
Isn't that silhouette wonderful? I agree with the photographer (and you).
