Some other people who would appreciate Pres. Obama |

Jackie Robinson, a true pioneer in civil rights, Luther Allison who left the USA because of racial hatred, LaVerne Baker, who also left the country, Pops Staples who marched with Dr. King in the '60's, Pee Wee Reese, who stood by Jackie Robinson, Wilt Chamberlain, who was outspoken on racism in sports and the USA, and of course, Dr. Martin Luther King. Yes, this list is loaded with sports and music stars, but that's what I know. And we cannot sterotype people just because of their profession. There are good and bad everywhere. I prefer to seek out the good. Especially now that we will have a new man, stress man, in charge within the next 36 hrs. Btw, in case anyone misunderstands my meaning of the word man, I mean that bush was not nor ever will be a man. Boys are not men.

4. No, I get what you're saying, Bluzmann |

I understand.
The first person that popped in my mind on reading the thread title was Studs Terkel. I think he would have appreciated someone fighting for (or at least not shitting on) the working person. And he died less than a week before the election.
Blanking out now on others for whom it's a shame they didn't live to see this day. There must be plenty.
