was just so beautiful...and Beyonce knocked it out of the park with her version of America...I can feel the change...its such a relief...these past 8 years may well be put behind us....I just cant stop crying tears of joy...starting at the speech in Baltimore yesterday..and now today...its just so inclusive and truly what we are about....I'm overwhelmed...

7. I did... I recognized him from a YOUTUBE of the performance
Edited on Sun Jan-18-09 09:35 PM by hlthe2b
as I didn't see him when I watched it earlier online. Initially, I couldn't place who it was, but later, I definitely realized it was George Lucas. I'm betting Spielberg must be there as well...

9. I thought Beyonce was supposed to perform Etta James' "At Last"
Didn't I see that somewhere? Unless she performed twice and I missed it, she clearly did not...

11. Seeger was AWESOME!!!
He sure damn doesn't look 89. And they sang the socialistic verses of the song involving private property and welfare offices as well!

13. These?
As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there
And that sign said - no tress passin'
But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!

Chorus

In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office - I see my people
And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin'
If this land's still made for you and me.

by Woody Guthrie
