Roads Beginning to Jam Up
Virginia traffic officials say I-95 North traffic beginning to tie up at Springfield Mixing Bowl at the Capital Beltway. Maryland reports I-95 heavy approaching the Beltway split. Major delays on Beltway near the Greenbelt Metro station. Traffic approaching all Metro stations in Maryland reported heavy. I-66 backed up getting into Vienna Metro.

The Red Line and Orange Line are reported packed. It's only 5am!!

There won't be any wind chill. Who could feel the wind??
The thought of going through the Mixing Bowl makes me shiver.:scared:

Parking lots a problem too! Silver Spring probably better than others.

Hope mixing is ok today; I tried to go through it last Feb, when it iced up! IMPOSSIBLE!

scariest ride at any fair!!

3. And if its iced up and stopped, it beats watching paint dry!!!

DID pull off at some exit, met some nice peeps at a service station, and we followed one of us AROUND on local roads to Alexandria!

4. The mixing bowl is so much better these Days!

Imagine this in the past before the VDOT project.

(I live in Connecticut but grew up in Va and still have family inside the beltway)
