circling and shaking hands. He shook hands with his daughters. Seemed strange. Laura went up to him and whispered in his ear. He returned to them and kissed them. Perhaps that was his very first gaffe of his Presidency. Cold or unthinking?

1. When I see Obama hugging and kissing his daughters..
it occurs to me that we never saw bush show that kind of warmth or affection to his kids. I always remember the story about how Jenna was rushed to emergency surgery on her appendix, and her dad went fishing in Florida. I guess he learned from his mother the dragon lady who went golfing after her daughter's funeral.

6. Well he didn't win...that was only a part of it though....
....a HUGE part...I'd had a lot of emotional family issues at the same time and it all ended up with me cursing my sister in her church parking lot...they had me taken to the metal ward instead of jail.

Thanks for the well wishes....that experience helped me to be much stronger a person than I would be if it hadn't happened...the drugs they gave me made me a lot worse for a while...I eventually realized I was just emotionally exhausted not mentally unstable and didn't need any drugs. :hi:

8. Republican affliction
Reagan didn't recognize his own son Michael in a receiving line once, shook his hand and said some sort of damn-glad-to-meetcha inanity before moving on.
