Obama caught him instantly and paused until he corrected it.

but what Obama actually said was not correct either.

He started to say
"That I will execute"--and then he pauses while Roberts stumbles to try to correct himself.

then O continues "the office of the president of the United States faithfully"

but there is a lot of crosstalk, so hard to pin down exactly what happened.
