Looks like the surge is showing signs of success. ... |
|
It's what we've been hearing lately. :eyes: Never has anybody for or against the surge reminded us that, as predicted by the Baker-Hamilton Commission, the insurgency may reduce activity biding their time to begin anew.
Plus its been reported that many parts of Baghdad have been evacuated because of the violence. This could explain some of the reduction in bombings.
I get this eery feeling that a "Tet Offensive" type event is awaiting US forces.

But deaths have declined. But then what do they expect? Sure if they push a majority of troops into that specific region, fatalities are bound to go down. But do they expect to leave our soldiers there forever? They know darn well that when (If!) we pull out, it's going back to the way it was.
