Sensed a change already.
I had an appointment to get a portable heart monitor attached at the time of the Oath so I hopped in the van and hit seek to find some live coverage. When I got back in the car I caught most of President Obama's speech except there was suddenly a heckler. Took me a minute but I realized it was Limpballs.

The strangest part was when Pres Obama was speaking about defense from enemies. He acted like bringing it up was a surprise and when it was made clear we would use force if necessary Rush's commentary was that the crowd was "stunned in silence", I guess because the crowd did not cheer the idea of war.

It was about 10 minutes home so I left the station as it was rather than try to change the channel on the freeway. Our low-income building had Cspan on the big screen in the Community Room on since 9am so as not to annoy anyone with inane commentary. There are poor folks who still think that Pres Bush was the bees knees despite gentle efforts to get them to see the truth.

It was a great feeling to know that people like Limpballs are now not only wrong, mean and pathetic but irrelevant.

2. I don't have Cspan, so settled for CBS

Actually, Katie Couric wasn't so bad. They stayed away from the stupid chatter, gave a few facts, and shut up at appropriate times.

I checked out NBC, and turned it off after someone said something about "the w keys being removed from keyboards." I was disgusted they were still bringing up that dreck. And what was it, like one "w" was missing or something? I remember all the "trashing of the whitehouse" was actually likes anyhow.

3. Something odd about that
The corporate networks won't hesitate to stick a camera on a rooftop to let it broadcast hours of nighttime bombings, and they'll let them run without commentary or context.

But let a Democrat give a speech, and you'll suddenly hear all manner of petty quipsters taking pot-shots from the gallery.

No double standard there...
