A Right Winger's Post: "Thanks President Bush! One of the Greatest !!"
Can you imagine that there are people who believe this? Poor wingnut, I almost feel sorry for him.

Your service to a ungrateful nation is appreciated and will be greater appreciated in the future.

Here's a list of just a few of the things that the history books will remember you for.

1. You prevented any further terrorist attacks on American soil.

2. Your contribution for fighting disease in places like Africa was the greatest of any president

3. Your support of minorities and women (Black Sec of State, Black woman Sec of state, Hispanic A.G.)

4. Your constitutionalist(as apposed to activist liberal) Supreme Court appointments

5. Your economic and tax policies were so good that it took the entire mainstream media and liberal elite 8 years to talk us into a recession

6. You saved the entire banking system from the total collapse that Frank, Dodd and the Democrats had worked soo hard to cause.

7. You overcame the recession you inherited from Clinton's tech bubble (again economic)

8. You were a decisive leader that was willing to make the unpopular decisions

9. You brought integrity back to the Whitehouse after Clinton sullied up the oval office

10. You tried to reach across the isle.. mostly to your own detriment

11. You got rid of Saddam. Although liberals think he was a great guy.

12. The war in Iraq is a success

13. You had the balls to call out Iran and South Korea

14. You did not bow to the U.N. or "Old Europe"

There's plenty more to add, but I just wanted to start by thanking you for these things.

You will be remembered as one of the top 5 Presidents ever. Your face should be on Rushmore.

Thanks Again !!

1. Kicking for "reaching across the isle".
There's an isle in the center of greenlake in Seattle which would be a good place for Bush to get the reach-across.

13. Calling out South Korea?
Did Bush call out Andorra, Liechtenstein and the Czech Republic while he was at it? Did he call out The Elks, The Squirrel Nut Zipper and the San Diego Padres, too? Thanks for calling out South Korea, Mr. Bush! We needed that. I guess that'll show those South Koreans!

"Calling out." That's how you earn freeper approbation. :eyes:

5. They'd best edit their post and get their facts/spelling right.
I listened to a FAUX radio program on Saturday where the commentator (I don't know who he was) was defending Bush on the failure to act on Katrina. His comments were so shocking, I nearly wrecked my car. They must have put out some incredibly false talking points, or we've been led astray all these years.

7. Bush supporters still exist?
I thought they all died out from being too stupid to breathe. Oh and as a side note, Scientologists now outnumber Bush fans worldwide.

8. So. . .
1. Too bad you couldn't prevent the one you had advance warning of.
2. Too bad your contributions were conditional on abstinence only education instead of measures that would prevent the spread of AIDS.
3. Too bad your support of minorities didn't extend to New Orleans and your support of women didn't include their right to make their own healthcare decisions.
4. Too bad your "constitutionalist" appointments don't understand the Constitution.
5. Too bad your economic policies drove us into a recession, when you brag in one State of the Union that "home ownership is at an all time high" because of you, then blame the sub-prime mortgage collaps on everyone else, some of us remember what you said before.
6. Too bad your ilk tries to simultaneously say that the bailout was done by the Democrats, yet says you "saved" something by signing it (while also criticizing you in other forums for doing the same thing).
7. Too bad you squandered a huge surplus and turned it into the largest deficit in history.
8. You were a decisive leader, too bad all of your decisions were wrong.
9. Too bad your understanding of "integrity" is akin to Idi Amin's.
10. If reaching across the AISLE includes calling anyone who disagrees with you Unamerican, you did a great job. Too bad you actually created the most divisive situation this country has ever seen.
11. No liberal says Saddam was a great guy, we merely say that Bush LIED repeatedly and enthusiastically to get us into a war against someone who never attacked us.
12. The war in Iraq is an abject failure, that's why we're still there instead of in less than 6 months as predicted by Bush's appointees.
13. Ummm, why would he call out South Korea? They're our allies. If you mean North Korea, by "calling out" do you mean "allowing to obtain nuclear weapons"?
14. No, you didn't "bow" to the UN, you ignored the UN while simultaneously using the UN as an excuse to lie your way into a war.

Does that cover everything?

11. Yeah right...
Your service to a ungrateful nation is appreciated and will be greater appreciated in the future.

Here's a list of just a few of the things that the history books will remember you for.

1. You prevented any further terrorist attacks on American soil.
(Except for the first one and the anthrax attacks)

2. Your contribution for fighting disease in places like Africa was the greatest of any president
(yeah, they love that abstinence only shit. It's SO effective)

3. Your support of minorities and women (Black Sec of State, Black woman Sec of state, Hispanic A.G.)
(especially the ones that drowned in New Orleans)

4. Your constitutionalist(as apposed to activist liberal) Supreme Court appointments
(right and the Chief Justice is so brilliant he screwed up the most important oath in the world)

5. Your economic/tax policies were so good it took the mainstream media and liberal elite 8 years to talk us into a recession
(So, does that include Fox News and Rush?)

6. You saved the entire banking system from the total collapse that Frank, Dodd and the Democrats had worked soo hard to cause.
(Hey stupid. The collapse is still coming)

7. You overcame the recession you inherited from Clinton's tech bubble (again economic)
(I guess Clinton hid that HUGE surplus under the bed in the Lincoln bedroom where Bush couldn't find it)

8. You were a decisive leader that was willing to make the unpopular decisions
(And pretty much all of them were unpopular. And stupid)

9. You brought integrity back to the Whitehouse after Clinton sullied up the oval office
(Fuck You! Dick Cheney anyone?)

10. You tried to reach across the isle.. mostly to your own detriment
(he was too drunk to find the other side of the aisle)

11. You got rid of Saddam. Although liberals think he was a great guy.
(After your boy Rummy and Reagan sold him all those weapons he used on his own people)

12. The war in Iraq is a success
(There is about 4200 dead that would like a vote on that one)

13. You had the balls to call out Iran and South Korea
(much like your hero, you too don't know the difference between North and South Korea)

14. You did not bow to the U.N. or "Old Europe"
(and you gave us FREEDOM FRIES too!)

There's plenty more to add, but I just wanted to start by thanking you for these things.
You will be remembered as one of the top 5 Presidents ever. Your face should be on Rushmore.
(and your ass should be in a trial booth at the Hague)

Thanks Again !! (asshole)

12. And, had he not been making vacation plans and read the Presidential Memos, he could have prevented
the largest attack on U.S. Soil in over a century. The Clinton Administration managed to stop an attack or two.

Good grief. Unbelievable stupidity.

1. You prevented any further terrorist attacks on American soil.

After the FIRST WTC bombing and OKC, no he didn't.

2. Your contribution for fighting disease in places like Africa was the greatest of any president

Tell that to the people of Darfur who were being shot all over the place

3. Your support of minorities and women (Black Sec of State, Black woman Sec of state, Hispanic A.G.)

I'd rather have a black president instead

4. Your constitutionalist(as apposed to activist liberal) Supreme Court appointments

Just don't ask them to recite the presidential oath of office

5. Your economic and tax policies were so good that it took the entire mainstream media and liberal elite 8 years to talk us into a recession

I guess this where the Lithium is wearing off

6. You saved the entire banking system from the total collapse that Frank, Dodd and the Democrats had worked soo hard to cause.

Now all those poor bankers can buy that second (Third, fourth or fifth) mansion

7. You overcame the recession you inherited from Clinton's tech bubble (again economic)

Didn't we use to have a budget surplus BEFORE Bush gave us the biggest deficit EVER?

8. You were a decisive leader that was willing to make the unpopular decisions

Yeah, and they were all wrong. Hence, the unpopularity.

9. You brought integrity back to the Whitehouse after Clinton sullied up the oval office

I wouldn't say that after Dick and Busk fucked the whole country

10. You tried to reach across the isle.. mostly to your own detriment

Being told "Fuck you" by your VP didn't go over too well. I wonder why?

11. You got rid of Saddam. Although liberals think he was a great guy.

Democrats didn't kiss his ass to begin with

12. The war in Iraq is a success

If you consider a quagmire a "success"

13. You had the balls to call out Iran and South Korea

Now Iran is the center of power in the Middle East and South Korea is still one of our allies.

14. You did not bow to the U.N. or "Old Europe"

If we had listed to them we wouldn't be broke today

THANK YOU, George W. Bush! (For nothing)

17. RUSHMORE!!!?
Reminds me of 1989, when I was in college, and some a-hole came a'knocking on my door on a Saturday morning.
I thought it was a Jehovah, but it was a Freeper. He asked me to sign a petition to get Reagan's mug added to Rushmore.
I looked at him for a second, then screamed at the top of my lungs...

"GET THE FUCK OFF MY LAWN!!!!!"

Laughed my ass off as he ran away.

18. "You prevented any further terrorist attacks on American soil." Yeah, AFTER you allowed 9/11...
This right-wing meme kills me -- " * has made us safer." What the hell happened on 9/11/2001 -- under *'s watch???

Anyone who can google can find 2001 news stories about Atty. General John Ashcroft's cessation of using commercial aircraft in summer of 2001; also, * spent some obscene amount of time at the phony "ranch" moving bundles of brush back and forth across the property.

Oh, yeah, and I like how wingnut-boy says the "mainstream media and liberal elite" talked the U.S. into a recession(?).

these people live in their own little impenetrable universe. They're not interested in hearing other viewpoints, or even having to think.

19. The kind of people that think Coolidge was great
From Ivan Eland in would appears to be an endless series of attempts to explain why Bush will be loved more by future historians:

Calvin Coolidge lacked charisma, generally avoided government intervention, and served during a time of peace. He is known today as Silent Cal and is all but ignored by historians. I consider him among America's best chief executives.

It's almost like real historians blame him for the great depression or something.
