Obama's address. Some themes, lines I liked - paraphrasing off the top of my head - |
|
The politics of hope, instead of the politics of fear. (there's a broad theme change for a federal administration)
The good government can do - coupled with the role of the individual. (On point, especially after 8 years of Bushco bashing government while ineptly attempting to run same)
Transparency in government action/decisions. (good to hear)
We will shake the hand that un-clenches the fist. (adroit and apt)
It's what nations work to build, not what they work to destroy. (again, adroit and apt)
These stuck with me as I had to go on and do other things today. Your takes? - thanks, pinto

1. I'm hearing it, for the first time |

on C-Span. I'm struck by the number of well crafted verbal gouges taken at the bushco administration, and what they've done to this country, and to our reputation, in the world.
Can't have been easy for w to sit through - if he was actually listening, and not in a drunken stupor.
