A cool thought
My wife and I have two sons: the older will turn five in February; the younger turned two in November.

It's very likely that neither of them will have any recollection of an America in which an African American hadn't already been elected President.

Sure, the nearly-five-year-old might have some recollection of Bush, but it's unlikely. And the two-year-old certainly won't.

They're living in a changed nation, with many more great changes still to come.

1. I'd agree, except for...
...Bush/Cheney should be remembered as war criminals, not "forgotten."

2. Of course, and they'll learn this in time, but...

They won't have any actual recollection of living under a Bush/Cheney Presidency. Their memories of the Presidents will begin with Obama.

I was alive while Nixon was still in office, but I certainly don't remember him being there. I have of course become aware of his crimes since then, but I don't really remember any President prior to Ford, and him only dimly.

3. Surely they will wonder why they are slave laborers.
It has been created unless we push back. And the only hope is to unite!
