If you were to follow the rise of power of the nazi party and more importantly if you were to examine their execution of policy you would find striking similarities to recent, and even current, events in this country. I can give you an example if you like but if I do and you pay any attention to the news at all you'll find it going on right now.

period that I know the comparisons are bullshit. One can eke out points of comparison between any two periods of history, but for various reasons, the comparison of bushco's tenure to Hitler's are simply off the mark. By the standards people are using to make that comparison, it's just as valid to compare FDR to Hitler or Johnson of Nixon. It's just sloppy and lazy.

for making nazi comparisons for the last eight years.
When there is documented historical evidense of bush family connections to the third reich,even when we were at war with them,when there is documented evidence that the bush famiy assisted in bringing nazi war criminals into the goverment of the US,when the bush family implements or espouses policies that are remeniscient of nazi policies,well,imo, it is fair to say they are nazis.

OK...maybe Bush wasn't like Hitler. But I do believe our government, under Bush, did come frighteningly close to trying to make this quote by Hermann Goering a reality:

I believe the Bush administration tried to turn Americans against modern day Muslims just as Hitler used the Jews as his own personal scapegoats. For some reason, the campaign against Muslims/Arabs didn't work on a wide scale, maybe owing to the presence of the Internet and independent websites and blogs that did NOT "catapult the propaganda".
