Bush: "I’d like to be a part of making the real history of this administration come to life"

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2009/01/20/bush-jokes-about-being-a-type-a-retiree/

<snip>

He said again that he plans to set up a think tank along with his presidential library in Dallas. He’s also going to write a book.

“I want people to be able to understand what it was like in the Oval Office when I had to make some of the tough decisions that I was called upon to make,” he said. “You know, history tends to take a little time for people to remember what happened and to have an objective accounting of what took place, and I’d like to be a part of making the real history of this administration come to life.”

19. I think it means he wants to sit at the grown ups table now
so he can find out what he did during "his" administration.

"I want people to be able to understand what it was like in the Oval Office when I had to make some of the tough decisions that I was called upon to make"

He acts like he's the only person in the universe who ever had a difficult job and tough decisions to make! He's not the first world leader to be in charge during hard times. In his case, his actions created most of those hard times, so he has a lot of nerve expecting people to feel sorry for him.

The spoiled, little rich boy is making excuses AGAIN. He's simply saying, "I may not have been a good president, but it's not my fault. It's not fair to blame me for the mess this country is in. Look at all the hard stuff I had to deal with!"

:eyes: :puke:

3. "A think tank"? Bush's think tank would fit in a closet...
Don't worry, Shrub -- we won't forget what happened in your administration.

7. Still in that bubble, George? The real world is very different.
1. No one is interested in any book you may write. No literary agents have expressed any interest, nor have any publishers. Perhaps after your conviction, there will be more interest.

2. History is history. It is what it is. No amount of additional lying, twisting of facts, or misstating what really happened will change history. You will be condemned forever as being the worst President ever. Congratulations, you deserve your disgrace.

3. We have enough right wing think tanks. They are destructive, go against the American way of life, and do no good to anyone except those being compensated for their service to the think tank. It's destructive to the American people, and we've had enough.

4. Go the fuck away. No one wants to see or hear from you again until you are charged for your crimes while in office.

8. They already have half a billion dollars in donations for his stink tank.
And they won't tell who the donors are. This has become a tradition, setting up propaganda groups like this to try to make it appear presidents like Junior didn't suck. Where do you think all that bullshit about Saint Ronnie of Reagan has been coming from all these years?
