OK, so why are the fundies so enamored with Blondie? |
|
I mean, this isn't the best of their songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHPikUPlRD8Ground breaking, but the rap is lame.

3. I love Call Me, and even Heart of Glass... |

but not that one. The beginning is OK, but Debbie Harry was not a rapper.

10. It actually would have been a perfect song if they had a real rapper guest on it. |
|
Probably wouldn't have been as popular though.

5. I didn't think think the fundies knew who Blondie is/were |
|
They were pretty avant-garde for the time.
She brought Rap mainstream. That's no mean feat.
And I actually sorta wanted to BE Debbie Harry. She's hot and smart. Can't beat that. :-)

she's probably on the tribulation map or something. after all, she does say "Face to face / Sadly solitude / And it's finger popping / Twenty-four hour shopping in Rapture"//
24 hour shopping--Walmart! gotta be the end times!

21. What rap? She's singing in the microphone - not talking into it. |
|
Okay, 2:06 mark is where she's talking into the mic.
And despite all that, it's music in the background. Not a repeating sample of someone else's music or the pre-encoded 8 note riff on the $30 fisher price keyboard at Target.
