OFFICIAL ROSES FOR TONY THREAD
Edited on Fri Mar-23-07 05:44 PM by kirby
So far the response has been underwhelming. Lets go folks lets get some ROSES for Tony Snow!

"In many cases, a bout with sickness stretches your soul, opens your eyes, and introduces you to a world of unimagined grandeur, possibility and joy."
---Tony Snow

"There have been a lot of rumors about my health, so let me tell you what's going on. In a recent series of CAT scans and PET scans and MRIs, we have found a small growth in my lower abdomen. Blood tests are negative, PET scans are negative. But out of an aggressive sense of caution, I'm going to go in for surgery on Monday and have it removed. I'll be out for a few weeks, because it's still -- you know, they're going to cut me. And it will take me a little while to heal up. So I'll come back here a little lighter -- (laughter) -- in, oh, I don't know, a few weeks, maybe three or four weeks. Dana Perino will be handling the responsibilities from behind the podium."

BEST WISHES FOR TONY...

20. Yes, I thought I added more in the bottom of my above post but it didn't show up
I thought I wrote that he was in remission but now they've found a polyp which may mean it's back.

I don't know where it went.

10. this kind of snarky thread makes us look bad
There have been any number of threads rightfully blasting rw sites that have been less than charitable in their response to the news about Elizabeth Edwards. I refuse to go down a similar path with respect to Tony.

I've had friends and relatives for all walks of life, and all political stripes, suffer and die from cancer. Anyone with the disease gets my sincere sympathy. And I mean anyone.

17. Call me a dumb blonde, but I didn't realize it was snarky.
If it was meant as such, then...well, that's not cool, IMO. I don't like the guy, but cancer sucks, and I hope things go well for him.

28. yeah, I think it'd be nice to follow Elizabeth Edwards' example
...and honestly wish him well.

I won't pretend to be fond of the guy, but I'm sorry to hear about his bad news. My wishes for right-wingers are that they come to their senses, not that they get cancer. (And I don't mean to sound all "what a good person I am" about that, since I'm pretty sure most people here feel the same way.)

I'm pretty much broke at the moment, so ASCII art will have to do for now...but I am thinking about him. As much as I don't like Snowjob, I don't think he deserves to suffer, either. So, here are a dozen virtual roses for Tony...

18. The man had/hs/will have again colon cancer
put aside your hatred for this man (I cannot tell you how many things I've thrown at my TV when he speaks)and send him flowers for his illness. He still has family, and he had the courtesy and kindness to call Elizabeth Edwards to wish her well.

I may be Bramaged, but I'm not a scumbag.

Send him flowers or a note of support for his illness.

38. I just can't do it
I don't wish Mr. Snow anything worse than he has. But I can't wish him well. Too many people have died and suffered under Bushco, and he has been a long standing major cog in the machine. I am not very "christian" I guess. I am sure he is getting the best medical treatment that $$$ can buy, and that is far more than most of the world will get.
All I can do is wish that he would see the light. Soon.
