2. Awesome pic .... I need to see one of these per day for at least the next week
I seriously think I have political PTSD because I have to keep reminding myself that the Bush years are over and Obama is President.

8. You're right about the PTSD
Just like in a dysfunctional family where the husband hits the wife, it takes a while to get over it and to trust someone else not to do it. I know first hand. PTSD is very real.

14. It's working! I can feel my shoulder muscles relaxing
for the first time in 8 years. I actually think I'm an inch or two taller because of it.

26. I hope I'm as lucky.... Bush* gave me a whopper of a spasm
of neck and back... radiating nerve root pain down my arm to the elbow, even my pinky finger on that side. (Yes, it is neuromuscular--not an MI).

'Tried, every hot wrap, cream, ointment and so many "Doan's backache pills" for the muscle relaxing effects of the magnesium, that I'm now peeing straight aspirin, I think. Now, I'm becoming addicted to a portable shiatsu back massage machine, to the point I can't hardly make myself turn it off.

I think it is just the remaining stress from the Bush* years, finally come home to roost. May it PLEASE pass soon~!!!

22. I feel sort of bad for Laura though.
Well not really, but unfortunately her idiot husband didn't leave our government with any petty cash available to purchase a new rug. If she's upset, she needs to have a little talk with *.

and gets his own rug... Too much bad mojo with the "W" Louis XIV (Sun King) rug.

16. I love the photo...but where is his computer?????
I certainly hope it's on a console behind him. I know they're trying to take away his Blackberry...but does he have to give up his computer, too? (If it were me...my laptop/computer would be on and ready right next to me...turning around to look at it is a problem and not expedient.)

19. I think he's fighting to get a computer
I want to know who's making that sort of decision? They can have top notch state of the art electronic gizmos in the situation room and on Airforce One but he can't have a computer?

21. There's a small working office just adjacent to the Oval Office where he'd have a computer.
Edited on Wed Jan-21-09 01:08 PM by TahitiNut
The Oval Office is largely ceremonial - photo ops, small group meetings, etc.. Folks (like me) that have a loaded desktop and lots of workspace need a place that isn't subject to photos and a parade of people. NOBODY takes pictures of his private office. Very secure.

23. Thanks! :) That explains a lot!
How much time do you think Bush spent in his "real" office? My guess...he didn't even know why it was there.

24. Is that JFK's desk?
I like the oval office best when it is kept warm with the buttery cream paint... Even the Bush "sun God" rug complements it... Hey, they (probably just Pickles) have to have made at least one good decision, right?
