Today is a very important anniversary in the history of the United States
Mar 23, 1775, During a speech before the second Virginia Convention, revolutionary Patrick Henry responds to the increasingly oppressive British rule over the American colonies by declaring, "Give me liberty or give me death!"

I feel that is a very poignant quote considering how many of the liberties that our founding fathers fought so hard to give us are now being taken away by Bush, Cheney and Gonzalez.

4. Yes, all those warmongering chickenhawks in OUR CONGRESS should
reenact this proud moment in our American history.

But they will not because they care about their careers more than the Constitution of the United States. :grr:

5. Hmm... Which Would the BFEE Give Him?
Also by Mr. Henry:

"They may introduce the practice of France, Spain, and Germany--of torturing, to extort a confession of the crime. They will say that they might as well draw examples from those countries as from Great Britain, and they will tell you that there is such a necessity of strengthening the arm of government, that they must have a criminal equity, and extort confession by torture, in order to punish with still more relentless severity. We are then lost and undone."

8. Where have all the true patriots gone?
Those words should be an inspiration to us all.

Those who do not learn from the past are bound to repeat the mistakes of the past.” ...(That would be a quote from a smart George)
