Basically, we missed the Oath taking of the first African American in history to become president. My opinion.

1. It's done, it's over, it is what it is... We can't undo what is history.
Yesterday's oath was good enough for me.

We should do a third take?

39. Yeah, and Roberts confirmed his belief that it was okay immediately after
"Congratulations, Mr President". Of course, one could also argue that he became President Obama at noon, anyway, and I think we were listening to music at that point (fantastic music, btw)

even though members of the press were there. My thought is that Obama didn't want a lot of clicking and hoopla.

I'd say it's official: Obama is #44.

24. Yeah I figured as much.
But I realized that * was called 43 and his dad was 41. I don't think I'll use "44" again because it's too close to what the BFEE used. I gotta wash that man right outta my hair.... he's over, done. Hopefully on his way to The Hague.

Regardless - we didn't miss the oath. We saw the real one. This one was just to prevent any idiots from claiming "HEZ NOT TEH PRESIDENT!!1"

31. Because the Grays can't reveal their custodial presence to the people of Earth yet
Edited on Thu Jan-22-09 01:40 AM by kenny blankenship
The real ceremony took place in the methane and ammonia filled tank that occupies the largest sub basement level of the White House. If there's one thing the Grays hate more than oxygen it's dry cold weather. Bad for the sinus.

If you thought the parade was drawn out past anything a new President should have to endure, consider that the Inaugural Probing is still going on!

The press was there and it was announced to the public. This was a just-in-case procedure.

Jackasses are now asking if he has to resign everything he signed before retaking the oath.
