Comments from Rockefeller Now that the NSA was spying on all of us? |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-22-09 03:17 PM by Botany
Remember how hard "they" worked to get amnesty for the telecoms in 2007 & 2008?
Any doubt that "they" spied on Kerry in 2004 or members of congress?
That program was never about stopping terror but about Rove and company getting, using, and keeping power. ATT put the first taps in Feb. 2001 long before 9/11 so the idea that "it" was an anti terror program was false from the get go.

2. Oh, wait for it... maybe someone will turn up proof that the government |

did a contract with somebody like Cray to develop new technology to make sorting out all that data possible. Think about it, if they're snooping on everybody, they'd need some massive tech assistance to make it work.

3. Where IS Sen. Rockefeller? |
|
And wasn't it Sen. Boxer too telling us that we were worrying about nothing? All this was absolutely essential to keep us safe, and there were plenty of checks and balances in place that would prevent wholesale harvesting of data on everyone. Tell us, Mr. Rockefeller, tell us if you dare, what your assurances were worth? You either knew and lied or you didn't know and shot your mouth off. Which is it? We the people knew enough not to trust the bastards in the Bush administation. Why didn't you know you couldn't trust them?
