Don't know how many of you remember...but now you can say I was right |

I told you all that the war in Iraq would be called "Obama's and/or the democrats war" about 2 seconds after he took oath by the right-wing media dick-heads. Go to Drudge, www.drudgereport.com and look halfway down on the left for link that says: OBAMA WAR: 7 KILLED DURING SUSPECTED U.S. DRONE STRIKES IN PAKISTAN

1. The Pakistan strike from a drone did take place under Obama. |
|
It is his now. He is right in getting us out of Iraq.
He is wrong everyday that he keeps us or increases numbers in Afghanistan/Pakistan. I have said for months now, that Afghanistan will be the 21st century Vietnam and that it will likely be a black mark on Obama's Presidency.

2. True but that's like George Bush blaming 9/11 on Bill Clinton |

Another thing I know I'll be right about too is that the republicans will start screaming for him to "bring our troops home now" and "Obama is moving way too slow getting our men and women out of his Iraq war".

5. His desire for victory in Afghanistan is troubling. |
|
We all know what that did for the British Empire and the Soviet Union. I understand that Pakistan is right next door, has nukes, and isn't terribly stable, but I think diplomacy is needed, not more troops. As sane people have said for decades, the US has to realize we can't solve all the world's problems. I think Obama said as much in reference to Darfur, though he wants to help there, and I think humanitarian aid is needed, and perhaps UN troops supported by the US. (Better the UN take the initiative than increase hatred against us.)
Women are treated terribly in Darfur and Afghanistan but also in countries we regard as allies and would never invade. Misogyny is one of the world's greatest problems but we haven't exactly conquered it at home.

I've got to listen to or watch about 15 minutes of Rush or O'reilly to see how they're already spinning the Iraq war into being all Obama's idea even though he wasn't even in the senate in 2003.
