The Pentagon is spinning their crap again |
|
Edited on Fri Jan-23-09 06:38 PM by malaise
I do not believe a word about these so called detainees that are back on the street. Looks like they have the same hacks to spin for them over at NBC. I'm not buying it Brian Williams. You haven't apologized yet for the last set of Pentagon propaganda.
Oh my lookie lookie - it's David Gregory spinning away with Brian Williams.

1. Where? NBC? They're full of it! |

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x263547But, I have facts in hand and if you tell me who, I'll write to the bastiches. :grr: They're trying to scare Obama away from closing Gitmo and from shutting down their torture operations at Bagram and Abu Graib and God knows where else.

2. Oh, and fyi, it's not really the Pentagram, it's CHENEY. |
|
Last week when Reuters wrote that "the Pentagon says" -- they were reprinting a press release from Cheney's office. The Pentagon spokesliar only went on record AFTER Cheney's ghouls put out the release.

|
What are they saying?
So what if they found one released detainee back at it again. If it's true, it's true... if it's not true it's spin... what was their evidence?

5. I heard a really funny take on this |
|
"we released them and now they're heading Al Qaeda" bullshit.
First, apparently, the number was 24, then it was 30, then it was 24, then it was 42, then it was 52, then............ you get the idea.
This bullshit - well, yeah, David Gregory and Brian Williams - is laughable.
Notice how the M$M hasn't uttered one word about Russell Tice and his revelations on Countdown on Wednesday and Thursday nights?

We've been enjoying a de facto moratorium on Bush/Republican/military-industrial-corporate-media bullshit for these past few weeks.
And now we're at it again. The DU community KNOWS this MSM stuff is OUTRIGHT LIES, but most of America will not, because they consume only MSM coverage such as this.
It got me to thinking about my recently obsoleted bumper stickers. From about 2004-2005: "Bush approved the torture". The DU community knew this four fucking years ago, and it's just rising toward the surface now, in the first day after Obama is in the White House? What gives?
Are we going to have to continue to endure this four year lag from initial propaganda to almost factual common knowledge? Is it time to use our majority and repair this MSM corporate travesty and once again have a media that serves the purpose as defined by our founders? Can't we do that? Doesn't the future of the world in these very serious times demand an informed populous armed with TRUTH AND FACTS?
