I have been following it since it's debut. The writing just keeps getting better and better every season.

but have a love/hate thing with the main characters. I find myself thinking they -- even Bill Paxton's family -- deserve every bad thng that happens to them, and am happy when it happens. :( I feel most sorry for the poor kids, especially the eldest daughter and son.

And saw Paxton's character get into an argument with wife #1, then decide he'd have better luck getting laid by wife #2. Told me everything I needed to know.

5. There is a great deal of that -- |

Lots of duplicity, emotional manipulation -- all while the characters are talking about the moral goodness of their religious lifestyle.
If all the actors involved weren't so great, I would have tuned out long ago.
