Will heads roll in this crisis?

[NOW tense]

We have watched the modern day Kings and Queens of this nation rape and pillage our shores for the past 29 years.
Our knees have buckled under the weight of fat gelatinous greed.
We watch our shores with the knowledge the floods are soon to come.
Floods that will come for our lust of all things.
We will receive our just reward in time.

or

We can be the change we need.
We can learn to scrape our nails clean of the greedy filth.
We always are able to make these hard changes.
Sometimes we just need a dark cold night to make us feel just how bad it is.
We are always capable of making a new of our broken down pasts.

Oh yes head will roll in this new America.
Not in the literal days of our past.
Just firing of CEO's and getting rid of our greed.
We can build a strong nation.

We are people who give a shit what happens.
We are the ones that could slash down the hammer.

But

We have the empathy enough to know the pain that death causes.
We are what I hope our New Great Nation can become.
Using our own man made flood of caring for our neighbors to wash away our past.
So we don't need to experience the epic flood of our past.
