Americans For Torture - Responses to Newsweek Article Re Obama's Torture Ban
We still live in America right? Here are some responses to a Newsweek article regarding Obama's Executive Order banning torture:

Posted By: pays_attention @ 01/27/2009 9:45:58 PMReading through some of these comments, I have to laugh out loud. All of you people who think that obama is gonna "save us all" are out of your minds. This man is already taking steps to free his muslim brothers from guantanamo bay and weakening America's ability to gather important, life-saving information from known terrorists. You think he gives a crap about you and your family? Oh, that's so cute... Fact is you are blinded by him now but time will reveal the truth about your new "saviour". As soon as those lunatic muslims attack again - and they will - gather your loved ones around you and hide behind your superior morals and let us know how that works for ya. This country use to have a back bone but all you bleeding heart liberals with your so-called "high moral standards" have put someone in the white house who is opening the door for America to be brought to her knees by these lunatics. It's just a matter of time. When that finally happens, be sure to pat yourselves on the back - assuming that you survive the attacks thanks to the protection of your high morals... You people are a disgrace to everything America was founded upon.

Posted By: hawkeye77 @ 01/27/2009 8:57:31 PMMaj. Lankford, we have a choice, uphold our "values" or risk the lives of our fellow coutrymen. Which do you choose, maj? Be nice to the enemy or protect your fellow countrymen? In time of war, torture is not uncommon. Each side of the battleground do the same thing, trying to gain advantage over the other. We are in an unconventional war, our enemy does not discriminate on his target. We cannot risk innocent American lives, be being nice to these terrorists. If I tortured a terrorist and saved one innocent civilian, I'd be proud to have done so. Let's get real, there's time to be nice and time to be nasty.

1. Tests run by psychologists have shown that many people
enjoy torturing someone. Perhaps these are the people responding to the Newsweek article.

2. Isn't the GOP all about morality and christian values...?
How did us "bleeding-heart liberals" become the party of "high moral standards" from a Freeper's view?

3. This is why our founding fathers created a republic
to protect us from atavistic tribalism.
