1. Thanks to the Republican douchebag from my state, "Eric Cantor" ordering them to OBEY.
How pathetic and simple-minded. :(

29. as another DUer said, hope this buries the GOP for 50 years... it could
but like I said, they're gambling that the country is going to fall no matter what, and this way they're positioned as the party that tried to lead the way, but there just wasn't enough of them to stop the misguided direction of Pres. Obama - when the landslide was already falling on us when he took office - I'm so hopeful for him and our country that this succeeds

THE GOP IS SHOWING THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE COUNTRY...

3. All those Republicans who voted "no" will regret that vote when they get booted out of office.
The people WILL remember this time.

7. I think they will - and here's what I really think they talked about in secret -
they know SHRUB has decimated this country, and we're probably headed for a MAJOR RECESSION BORDERLINE DEPRESSION, and they figure that if it's going to happen anyhow, they might as well be the ones who are going to lead the "recovery" out of it, and nothing President Obama can do can prevent the landslide coming down on the USA caused by B*sh's screwups!!! SO, vote against it and look like you knew what was best, and if it happens, you look good for not voting for it. They're asses - their party caused this messed ENTIRELY!

no Repubs voted for it. Why didn't the Dems just pass their proposal as they wanted it??????? What is the point here???????

12. Because now we can claim truthfully that we tried to be bipartisan
We held out our hand and they clenched their fist. They've shown they haven't gotten past petty partisan bickering, while we made the attempt to include them.

There's also the matter of the Senate; the concessions may gain what we need there.

28. and Obama has learned a good lesson from their arrogance - he goes there in good faith
and the House leaders concede on some issues, and still none of them vote for it? They look horribly obnoxious for that - they wanted concession but that somehow didn't get one person to vote for it? HA! The Grand Old Irrelevant Party!

13. as the DUer said above you, I agree - wtf? if they're not going to vote for it, don't give them
anything!

We WON! BIG TIME we won - it wasn't even close - we have strong majorities in the House and Senate and a Dem. President...

screw them - the country wants things Obama's way...

His trying to appease the other side to be fair needs to stop. They didn't vote, not even ONE of them, for this. Maybe Obama will say something about how sad it was to see not one of them wanted to get this country moving the way the AMERICAN PEOPLE WANTS IT TO MOVE, especially after they gave in on some issues!

17. Don't cha know, they say that us democrats would immediately schedule our abortions on demand
if they allowed poor women to be screened (Pap Smears, Breast Cancer) and aid them in their family planning (contraception) efforts.

Right to ABORTION on DEMAND!

Don't they realize that in difficult times, LIMITING the number of children can help these families MEET their bills?!?

"no we're not going to meet you at any part of the path" - Trippi on Republican Obstructionists

They look REALLY bad for doing this - the president has a 3/4 or higher approval rating. They're going to have to VOTE for the damn thing if we're giving them ANYTHING in these bills, and we did... shame on them - it was a political stunt!

when a new bridge is built, or whatever comes into their district through this package - to say NO! We won't take this money!

They're sick. I saw that nearly ALL of Boner's plan that failed, was made up of TAX CUTS - hmmmmm, wonder who got lots of them....

GEE...

30. And to think the Democrats removed the family planning provision for no reason.
The Republicans were going to vote against it anyway so what good did it do to pander to them?

Obama is naive if he thinks he can appeal to Republicans at all.

32. yes, as I wrote above, he certainly learned something about them today - big time.
and like several have said, to think they removed the family planning money for NO votes. Screw the Grand Old Irrelevant Party now, they're done for. We're in the midst of an economic crisis that could end this country tomorrow - and they wanted their Boner Stimulus plan to give tax cuts to companies...

31. I'll be calling my senators, snowe and collins, tomorrow
1. Explain to them the meaning of a "mandate" (hint: it's nothing to do with losing the popular vote, stealing an election and ramming rw crap down our collective throats)

2. Remind them how the rethugs controlled all 3 branches of government for years and ran this country into a ditch and halfway off the edge of a cliff

3. Advise them how the rethugs now look like partisan, obstructionist political hacks

4. Remind them of how they've cut taxes to the lowest levels in decades and gutted regulations, and this is where we've ended up as a result

5. And define insanity for them (hint: it's something about doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result)

If someone posts the names of the turncoat dems, I'll call them too. I'm pissed. I'm really pissed.

top get airtime on corpomedia should be using. Because that is the truth.

I don't want to hear one more whiney bobblehead say the words "Obama" and "fails" in the same sentence again when the subject is the Republican REFUSAL to work in a good faith effort to help us solve the massive problems of the economy
