...Joan Walsh. She provoked his outburst with a very well-aimed, and short, diatribe, to wit:

"Please stop saying 'give it a rest'," Walsh said at one point, after another Armey interruption. "Do you have anything else to say? President Obama has a mandate for change. Your people have stood in his way. They are standing in his way on Capitol Hill right now and Rush Limbaugh is making ridiculous statements and Republicans are crawling to him and groveling. That's the state of our economy and our world right now."

It's annoying as hell to me that this whole thing is all of a sudden about Armey and Herbert and Tweety. Joan Walsh held her own and gave it to the sumbitch, and the end result is he made a darned fool of himself on national TV. He won't win any points with any women out there, as far as I can tell.

As for Herbert, good on him for telling it like it is. And sure, let's have an email campaign. But please, let us make sure in our email campaign to quote Joan, above, and to remind everyone of the topic at hand, that brought out Armey's true colors, which is the abysmal state of our political discourse and our economy and our world right now -- and the fact that the Republics' answer to it is to grovel at the feet of the Rush (hypochondriac / addict / pervert) Limbaughs of the world...
