in politics. He is in the entertainment industry. He is a jingoist and rabble rouser and a crackpot. He does not represent republicans. Sure some of them jump on the wagon to pick up donations, campaign contributions or fire, but no thinking republican listens to him. What does ditto mean? It means: a. I am too stupid to have opinions, so I just parrot yours, and b. If I do have opinions, I don't know how to put them into words, so ... DITTO. Me too. They can't put two words into a sentence (me too) so they just use "ditto". The republican 'bible' is National Review. Prior to the election 2 of the top people at National Review left, to support Barack Obama and because they deemed that person from Alaska as a "dangerous embarrassment to the Republican party". Sure Limbaugh causes trouble. But only in the same sense that Oprah caused 'trouble' for Hillary, and McCain. McCain caused the most trouble for McCain. dc

6. Limbaugh is a serious threat |
|
He's the leader of GOP thinking. Millions listen to him and they spread his lies and hatred to others.
After the '94 election, the GOP members of Congress invited Limbaugh to their orientation meeting and credited him with the GOP landslide.
Last year, Limbaugh kept John McCain from selecting his chosen nominee for VP. Just watch, there will be absolutely no Republicans who will disavow Limbaugh.
Network news programs now show Limbaugh is the primary sculptor of right wing opinion. He's depicted as the voice of the common man. If Limbaugh wants to accomplish something politically, its easy for him to do it. He's polarized the entire nation and created 12 years of GOP terror.
Just because Limbaugh is out of the mainstream now don't expect that to continue. He'll keep floating lies and hatred ideas until something takes hold again and causes a public uproar against Obama. Limbaugh's done it countless times before.

35. rush leads the talk radio monopoly that does the groundwork for |
|
everything the GOP does. limbaugh is a professional propagandist- he is NOT an entertainer. first he gets the talking points then he prechews them for 3 hours and then lays them out on a smorgasbord for other talk radio blowhards, lazy celeb talking heads, and politicians to pickup and rechew later in the day on prime time.
almost everything the GOP has done to america and dems the last 20 years went through the talk radio monopoly of 1000 stations and an often captive crowd the size of the one that voted for obama. no one better represents the principles and morals of the rep party or has done more to get them where they are now. he is their leader whether they like it not.

10. You're right, but so what? |
|
He is an entertainer in the entertainment industry. You couldn't be more correct.
Yet . . .
Rush Limbaugh is invited to appear on cable shows, which breathlessly cover his every porcine grunt.
He is invited to provide commentary on network news shows and extended coverage.
His three hour daily hatefest is cited with approval by any number of politicians and political insiders.
Comments on his show are often morph into talking points for the Republican party, and as long as he's riding his hobby horse on an issue, it receives attention and airing.
Obama very subtly and masterfully made Limbaugh the face of rage and the yammering voice of the Republican party. If he's just an entertainer, let the Republicans denounce him and distance themselves from him. But right now they're stuck with him until they decide to unstick themselves. And the Republicans only have themselves to blame for that.

27. ". . . no thinking republican listens to him." Say what? |
|
OK, maybe no Republicans actually "think," in the synapses sense.
But they surely listen, and they obey their Dear Leader (Rush) without question or hesitation.
This election burned any remaining internal dissent out of the Republican Party. They now share one goal, and one goal only: Destroy Obama. And that's Rush's only goal, as well.

|
There may be Republicans who don't ascribe to him but few if any of these have the courage to speak up against him and risk the wrath of the core of the party. If you can't see that you must be one of the cowards in the GOP who won't call him out while chafing secretly over his obnoxiousness. Everyone on the outside can see the truth.

... is't pretty much impossible to tell if you are delusional or actually stupid enough to believe the shit you say.
Whatever. Your party has led our country to the brink of chaos, and we're not going to forget it nor are we going to let anyone spin the truth about it.
Limbaugh would be among the first, trying to blame it on the CRA. I know his shit "works" becuase I had co-workers spouting that bullshit in short order. They don't any more, because it is a trivial argument to eviscerate.
Get a clue fool.
