4. Springsteen sucked as much as this game has
All Bruce does is scream incoherently, while the band plays what sounds like the same three chords he has in all his songs.

Worst. Super Bowl. Ever.

A nice, bold opening, but not enough feeling and no follow-through.

17. M'am...
Bruce has done more good you will never know of than you will ever think of doing.

But I will give you a for-instance: A friend of mine worked for him. Then, he did not. Friend's wife died, very rapidly, from cancer, leaving friend with two beautiful, intelligent and wonderful adopted Korean children. Bruce found out and called another one of friend's old employers, a certain Mr. Thin White Duke.

Between the two of them, they have made sure that those children will want for nothing, ever, and receive college educations. Good ones.

Now please, I must repair from this thread before I start making unseemly comments. You know NOTHING of the man and your comments are childish and shallow.

Get the fuck outta here.

I would appreciate it if you would stop and ponder, just for a moment, the mind-altering vapidity and utter cluelessness of that request. Do you think those two gentlemen had their publicists put out a press release regarding their act of charity? If you do, what is it like to live such an utterly shallow existence?

I've got him on the line, here. He said the thing that bothers him most is that Radical Activist won't buy his new CD. Seriously.

24. hah
He wouldn't release an album if he didn't care about people buying it. His actions should have consequences, especially since he portrays himself as some kind of voice for working class people.

28. not sure
what Che has to do with it except that's what most people here resort to when they don't have a rebuttal to me.

Maybe The Boss can sing a song on his next album dedicated to laid off factory workers in the heartland and the thirteen year old Chinese girls who are now making those products.

Without your opinions, what could we possibly do? To all you Chinese girls, sweating in the factories, here's a rendition of Born in The USA. My tears are for you...and Radical.

32. can you explain
why you think the two statements are mutually exclusive?
He put on a good show.
Making an exclusive deal with walmart was hypocritical given his activism and the themes of his songs.
Both are true.

Edited on Sun Feb-01-09 11:44 PM by latebloomer
He should have better control/communication with those who make these deals for him. Hearing about it, I was very disappointed and annoyed.

But, please, in his 35 years of fame, can you point to another such fuckup? As compared to all the good he's done, much of which is not even publicized?
