Do you ever read or post in conservative forums?
I looked at this just out of curiosity http://www.conservativesforum.com/ and was surprised by the degree of hatred toward Obama. There was a lot of name calling: Obozo, Osama, Hussein.

1. Their Denial Is Deep
I haven't seen that site but plenty of others and they all show a combination of racism, fear mongering, tin foil spreading and name calling. But then you're looking into the belly of the beast...the place these losers go to find sympathy with other dead-enders. Of course they're going to hate Obama...he beat them at a game they think they had bought and are in denial that their "philosophy" has been so thoroughly repudiated.

Actually the venim I've seen is rather tepid compared to all the crap during the Clinton days. In those dark days I used to play around on a couple of "mixed" boards that became more and more infested with wingnuts. At first it was amusing playing with their pointed heads, but then as boooosh stole the election and the country began to go to hell, it became sickening.

4. No.
I've never gone there, and I tend to skip most of the DU threads regarding those sites.

8. As smart as you are, you are missing out on great fun
I have even read some of your posts to refute the wingnuts. I come here a lot looking for talking points against their lunacy. And you are one of my better sources :)

5. Daily
Mainly the local ones now. But I used to post at several. Their hatred for all things liberal is just unreal. They also hated Obama from the beginning and never gave him a chance.

Another couple observations:

They NEVER post links. They read an article (sometimes just the first paragraph) and post a few sentences summarizing it. And 99% of the time they are wrong. It's usually easy to Google the article and find at least one part that refutes their summary.

Quite a few of them are supportive of Obama or at least want to give him a chance. They don't post as often anymore, leaving the real fun to the haters.

They can't spell and can't compose sentences worth a crap. And they are highly offended when criticized for this.

They are so fun to play with because they are STUPID.

A few examples

Harry Reid needs to be removed as majority leader
Submitted by jeetzwillager on February 6, 2009 - 1:56pm.

Replace him and Pelosi and I imagine you'd see more aisle-crossing.

Harry "the market will crash if we don't..." Reid is now O fer 2 in economic predictions. The market crashed a long time ago. Anything now is residual.

Stay the course Republican Senators, you will be heroes when history looks at this 20 years from now.

Unfortunately America is a "give it to me right now country." We didn't use to be.

Obama Aides - Obama Plan Will Not Work
posted at 2/7/2009

Reference: Newsweek, 9 Feb 09, The Stimulus That Didn't Stir

Obamas own aides do not think that the Obama Bail-out Plan will work. His aides admit privately that the Obama stimulus plan will not work.

Even the Obama Team is against this pork and socialist agenda package.

Where is Bin Laden? Has Obuma failed?
posted at 2/7/2009 1:28 AM CST

Day 18 of the Obuma administration and I have still not heard anyone in his administration even mention his name much less captured or killed him.
Was he lying during the campaign to score cheap political points? He criticized the Bush administration for not mentioning the name Bin Laden in their last year in office. I do expect that if and when Bin laden is found that the Obuma administration will capture him. They wouldn't dare kill him and possibly face war crimes. When he is captured I expect Bin laden to be given the same rights that all Americans have.

Was Obuma lying? Has he failed?

7. I used to, stopping was a good thing for me.
It did however help me to recognise group think. A few years back it used to be a bit more defined, RW sites would post nothing but pro-RW talking point BS (the majority of which was opinion), or trash dems for something. It was really amusing since I would come over here and the latest rage and rant would be a Repuke scandal (I'm thinking of Jeff Gannon specifically here). The RW sites wouldn't even mention it. It could be getting national media attention, and they would ignore it and pretend it didn't exist.

I've seen similar things here before Obama got close to election. But lately it's turned into a free for all, which is pretty cool.

9. I like to check out Usenet
The repukes that post there are not only hate-filled racists, they are immature. I am convinced that the whole lot of them are unemployed 19-year-olds living in their moms' basements.

10. I just can't.
You get emotion here, and silliness, but a lot of intelligence, humor and interesting info, but in conservative forums, it's all nastiness and hate. I have a weak stomach, and I'd start getting nausea fairly quickly after reading a couple posts filled with misinformation, ignorance, and vitriol.

14. not that particular forum
but there's a series of forums that I am a member of (Delphi Forums) and I read some conservative forums over there. One person on one of them (that is not a political forum) is always posting links from the Heritage Foundation and claiming they're unbiased. Unbelievable.

15. I guess AR15.com would be considered "conservative"
but as a builder of AR-15 rifles, I find the information on that site useful. I sometimes post in their GD forum, which is chock full of vitriolic and paranoid people who seem like they're just itching for the SHTF (as they like to use, over and over again). A lot of the folks over there are pretty nice, but they normally get shouted down by the knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers.
