Okay now!! The people who run the state of SC have really got a good reason for high unemployment...
South Carolina Commerce Secretary Joe Taylor told Gov. Mark Sanford Monday that the state’s high rate of unemployment is caused by drug use.

Taylor briefed Sanford and the Cabinet, and said that the state needs to teach people that failed drug tests will keep them out of work for weeks. He said recruiting businesses to places with high drug test failure rates doesn’t help.

Taylor, of course, offered no evidence to back this outrageous claim, but he could be right.

After all, the state's unemployment rate has sailed far above the national average since Mark Sanford took office. Who's to say that Sanford's tenure as governor hasn't driven many a South Carolinian to drinking and drugging?
