That steel guy is RIGHT. If the government is funding these jobs, we, as taxpayers, must demand buy American! Stahl says "protectionist" like it's a dirty word. To hell with her!

Steel guy is right. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE TRADE.

It's time to be PROTECTIONIST!

14. The gist was...
go ahead and study it at Harvard, but don't attempt to apply it to the real world. I don't know much about Dan Damico (Nucor prez) ... off to the Google.

2. Lesley Stahl is an idiot when comes to issues like this.
Edited on Sun Feb-15-09 07:21 PM by Elwood P Dowd
She will believe in and push anything the globalists tell her. All she has is the same ole corporate talking points.

5. Agreed.
I don't care for her as an interviewer, but I was curious about Nucor and Caterpiller.

6. This is infuriating.
As is "NO ONE COULD SEE THIS COMING." I was a toad sitting in a cube babysitting a computer all day and saw it coming.

13. and too many people who were completely misinformed especially about those ARMs.
Not saying that the public doesn't bear some of the blame there but the public wasn't the one pimping these scam loans at any and all costs.

16. Loans given to "anyone who could fog a mirror."
Paul Bishop seems like straight-shooter. Or disgruntled former employee, if you're that greedy Herb Sandler bastard.
