2. Drip drip drip ... and so it goes ... until he goes ... |

There's no way we'll be able to avoid a special election in Illinois, though. The Dems had better get a REALLY strong candidate ...

9. Mark Kirk Is Their Golden Boy... |
|
He's already fundraising. No matter how bad Blago or Burris are, they still don't hold a candle to the corrupt and inept repugnicans in this state. There's sure to be quite a Democratic primary in 2010, but whomever emerges will have a solid leg up on Kirk or anyone else the GOOP tries to recruit.
Most Democrats with any statewide ambitions long cut ties with Blago...and those who didn't will be well known by 2010.

5. Burris had some really staunch DU supporters some weeks back |
|
who became very angry at those skeptics among us, as well as those who were overtly "naysayers."
While I have no desire to embarrass them, I am curious if they are now convinced that Burris is not all that he purported to be.... Is he now really persona non grata in Illinois?

7. For me it had nothing to do with... |
|
what Burris 'purported' himself to be. It had to do with the law in Illinois, and the Governor's job of selecting a replacement. If he committed perjury, there is 'reason' for him to be 'persona non grata' in the United States Senate.

I'll bet he hangs on. Many Senators accused of worse have.
