Anyone here familiar with Thrivent Financial (for Lutherans)? |
|
I've inherited some money, much of it in a Thrivent fund. I'm close to the next tax bracket already and don't want to go there, so am considering taking the money in a disbursement. However, I'm concerned about this company perhaps being involved in any current financial scandal. I do know that Thrivent is the only non-profit in the Fortune 500, and they've made the largest donation ever to Habitat for Humanity. Sounds like a good organization.
Have any of you heard otherwise?

i think they did send a letter a few weeks back saying they were not in the investments that went foof. we lutherans are pretty staid. and cheap. and conservative. tho their credit union became a bank. and no more checking for me.
