It's all the excuse the bushies need to get control of the internet. But it is a reflection of our current culture where RW TV and radio hosts attack women with vile and sexual comments and are never reprimanded by the FCC.

2. It isn't just the right-wingers

Just check out any thread here about Katie Couric the last couple of days. Or any thread about Coulter. Or any other right-wing woman. If I had a nickel for every time the word bitch gets used in GD...I wouldn't have to work at my lousy state job.

If you really want to be sick to your stomach...go search for any threads about rape or violence against women. It will literally make you want to vomit how often the same victim-blaming and down-playing we would expect from the rightwingnuts gets spouted here.

And we won't even get into the periodic post in the Lounge objectifying women.

Some allegedly liberal men (and some women for that matter) seem to have no problem attacking women simply for being women.
