welcome to DU. Excellent article. I think a collective amnesia veils our eyes the minute stories like these are not made available. The industry and agriculture certainly need to be developed in Iraq. It's sad to be reminded that sanitation, water and power still remain sketchy. I continue to be concerned about some of the bush policies put into place by the interim-authority at the being, just after shock and awe. Like the seed policies by Monsanto. they HAVE to use only certain types of seeds and that likely means fertilizer and herbicides. All likely genetically engineered and fossil fuel based products.
