Poll question: Does it seem like the GOP-controlled media is saying the economy is okay now?
Bernanke claims the economy will rebound by the end of the year. The LA Times published a story the other day that said housing prices are bouncing back.

Am I going crazy or does it seem that there is a push to say all the financial problems in this country are over?

1. The Republics have been saying that for a few weeks now.
They want it to seem as though Pres Obama's stim bill didn't do anything but create the evil BIG GOVERNMENT.

2. If so, that was a very short Wall Street Terra Alert
The few times I saw teevee news it was screaming about Financial Armageddon.

Who knows.

6. I think the GOP-controlled media is very careful not to confuse the investor class with ...
... the unemployed, homeless, hungry, etc.

3. I am so over the media. They always give the republicans so much air time.
When we were in power we hardly ever got air time and most of the time they just said we were being political when we objected. I am so sick of them. Ugggggggg.

13. I still don't know how he could say the economy is going to recover so quickly.
What happens if the economy doesn't recover by his timetable? Is he trying to set Obama up for failure?

14. Other. I think what the media is doing is misreporting details of the budget.
I just saw Judy Woodruff (who should know better) repeat the same distortion to Peter Orszag repeatedly in her PBS newshour interview.

What we need is some out of the big tax bracket, regular people reporting the news - then we would hear something different!

15. I think we are close to the bottom.
Demand for the services of the company I work for is increasing. I've held off buying a new car and am reconsidering it. I love my Honda Accord, but my job really needs me to have a 4-wheel drive. I'm looking at the Toyota FJ Cruiser. Usually, when the news is this bad for this long, we've bottomed out.

this is their agenda. Mr. Obama has made it clear that we cannot afford the bush family wars due to the economic crisis.
