The Agenda? "Fascism in America..."

14 Points of fascism: The warning signsImagine the outrage there would've been had Democrats, 'librals' and progressives held a conference back in the years of the Bush & Co. administration with its main theme as 'Fascism in America' with keynote speakers advocating, "Of course we want Bush to fail!"
Imagine the backlash! Dems would've been targeted as the fringe - heck, what am I saying? We are anyway.
I recall when I stumbled across a protest of the war on CSPAN sometime back in '02, maybe early '03. Nary a word on M$M, and yet, huge crowds were protesting in DC. Not fringe lunatics, but average "Joes" and "Janes." Where was the media then? Nary a word. Where were the photos of these massive crowds in my newspaper? Nada.
How the hell do these folks get away with this CPAC "Socialism in America" shit and, with straight faces, get invited to tell about it? How does the media even take them seriously, and not call them on out their shit?
Rhetorical questions, I know, but I'm fed up with this stuff.
The M$M feeds into this; they benefit from juxtaposing these nuts against us. It increases ratings to have this level of conflict. It's pure distraction, and does such harm to our country. The Limbaughs and Hannitys could easily be marginalized if the media simply invited a more reasoned and intelligent discussion on the topics at hand, and pointing out the absurdity of the far right freaks. But instead, they perpetuate it. The manner in which they bring these nuts into the discussion gives the Limbaughs and Hannitys credibility.
It keeps us all embroiled in turmoil. Feed the frenzy! Arrgh! :banghead:
