I've lost track. Franken: Yes? No? Maybe? |
|
Is the court battle going to be settled anytime soon? Will Minnesota just say "screw it" and hold a runoff? Will we just have 99 Senators for the next 6 years?

1. The Coleman camp rested today, and Al's guys are presenting their |
|
case torrow. Then a judgement I guess. That doesn't mean that Coleman won't try to appeal to the Feds. I COULD go on for a very long time!

2. I'm guessing with Pawlenty as Governor, they will do everything to block Al... |
|
..even if it means no Senator for a while. Thanks for the update.

3. I think that's right. Pawlenty has already said he would not sign |
|
whatever it is to authorize Al as a Senator.

7. Wouldn't Franken have the right to appeal to the Feds as well? |
|
I hope they both have equal standing in this case.

There are reports on the trial there every day...and it makes one's head hurt with all the games being played by Coleman and the RNC. The court case hopefully will wrap up soon...the judges look like they've just about had it with Coleman's games (fined them yesterday for withholding information from Team Franken). It looks likely from all observers that Franken will prevail in the case and be declared the winner, but as long as Palwenty is a fukstick and won't sign off on the certification, this game could go on further as Coleman is sure to appeal this decission and try to drag this crap out longer.
The bottom line is that Harry Reid needs the balls to seat Al...dare the GOOP to fillibuter. Let them continue to deny Minnesota of its proper representation...that's sure to "help" GOOP chances in any future elections in that state.
I can't tell you when Al will be taking his seat in the Senate, but he's won and he will get there eventually.

9. I wonder who Lieberman is supporting in this challenge |
|
I do believe he supported Coleman in the GE but now he is supposedly back in the fold. How about it Lieberman supporter(s)?

Coleman's legal team finished their arguments yesterday, and now Franken's lawyers get to argue.
I might add that every single one of Coleman's arguments pretty much got shot down in flames. Franken's likely to tear him to shreds.
It'll take a few more weeks, but Franken will be seated.
