A Progressive Dem just won the primary for Rahm Emanuel's old seat |

Not a machine Dem. Not a Blue Dog Dem. But a Progressive!!!!!
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Local news just called the Democratic primary and Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley is the projected winner. Not only did a progressive win, the top two vote getters were progressives; Quigley and labor lawyer Tom Geoghegan.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Usually in the 5th District, the winner of the Democratic primary is the winner in the final election. The GOPer race has not been called yet.
There were TWELVE Dems running for this seat in this primary!
