The Leahy Hearing today is a good thing. Here's why:

Yes I want prosecutions, but to date there seems to be no movement toward that happening. Today, at least, keeps the issue of torture and bush law breaking in the news. And that just can't be bad. A TRC is not a substitute for prosecution, and a hearing on whether to form one, certainly isn't a substitution, but anything that keeps these issues front and center is a damned good thing.
