Somewhere in the undisclosed memos there has to be one nullifying the 2nd Amendment
What with the revelations from just the few memos that Justice has already released one has to wonder what is coming with the next release. Consider this, having already given themselves tyrannical power could they allow an armed populace? Definitely not. Somewhere in what is to come there has to be a memo giving Bush the right, no - the obligation - to take away guns.

That should bring the howlers out faster than a double sized moon or requisite first-pregnancy abortions.

2. Didn't they already confiscate guns during Katrina?

I seem to recall the military was taking people's guns in New Orleans.

6. National Guard Troops
with N. O. Police were going door to door taking the guns. NRA and others sued to stop the practice and have the guns returned. The suit was successful but the guns were stored improperly and allowed many to rust. On top of that, the record keeping by the N. O. Police was so sloppy that very few are going to be able to identify which gun belongs to them.

My personal opinion is that the Mayor and the Police Chief should be serving time for abridgment of civil rights.

3. Sadly unlikely.
It would be the one good thing Bush did if it were true, though.

7. not even a republican is dumb enough to appear to be a gun grabber
there are militia-people in the woods just waiting for the order to go out to grab our guns and then they will be proven right.

...and Obama toyed with the idea of an assault weapons ban(until Pelosi and Reid saved his ass on that one)?

Spy on us, fine
Make us gather in "free speech zones", swell
Detain people indefintitely, er I guess so
Go for our guns, ah Hell no!
