Fire him, and his company, and tell them you are sick of him bashing the current Administration as your only reason for your portfolio losing value. Lobbying to change rules back to as they have been for the past 8 years, to meet your personal needs and damning the rest of Main Street is bad business. As I recall, the freefall started before this Administration was sworn in.
Government sets rules based on the poeple's (majority) wishes. Play by those rules that are set, then find a way to get it done. His gripe is that the rules aren't set yet and he can't get a straight answer out of Washington. You think Wall Street has given straight answers to his clients?
It's been a couple months. Don't expect every single answer and policy to be finalized already! Your Republican buddies have held up a lot of the legislation from getting done quicker than it could have. Call THEM out.
