Bernie Madoff to negotiate a plea bargain. This is the death nail in our economic
casket. By copping a plea, the uber-class wins again. All the links to organized crime (within and outside government) will now remain hidden.

You just got punk'd. Again.

2. I hear his plea is an attempt to keep his wife out of prison.
No deal, if she was involved she goes down too.

4. That's all theater. The main objective all along was to do damage control
on behalf of the real criminals. Madoff was just a front man.

5. No, he'll be sentenced, but then he'll have a heart attack and ...
I presume, a closed casket funeral.

6. The point is that a public trial will be averted. That was the key. Public testimony
would have revealed Madoff's backers and co-conspirators.

9. Since he has gone for the plea cover-up, we can only assume the worst.
Edited on Fri Mar-06-09 01:13 PM by peacetalksforall
He was involved in laundering all the stolen money for Cheney Bush and Rumsfeld. Not just the DOD money - the skims from all the departments that were affected by them throughout the government, the riches from the Iraq museums, the sales of nuclear arms and technology (unless that was a private Cheney chain of money), and the administration drug running - illegal and legal.

He won't tell the country and his victims so we get to say why.

He was involved in it all. There is no other cover-up than this combination.

Sorry example of a human. He has said he's guilty. He just made it worse. The game is now open for a full scale speculation.

What about his ace genius employees who handled it all - are they plea bargaining - especially the genius who sat on the couch with him for a taped interview about their glorious company where there was no noise in their office.

How does a person have empathy for citizens who screw us so blatantly, so arrogantly.

The first decade of the 21st Century will be known as THE ARROGANT TAKE DOWN OF AMERICAN CITIZENS BY THE AMERICAN MEDIA, MILITARY, RELIGIOUS, LOBBYIST, POLITICAL DESPOTS AND CROOKED FRIENDS.

11. I just recently learned the concept of The Bezzle. Makes it all understandable.
When the Bezzle is this strong, the end is nigh.

17. When the history is written on our era fifty years from now,
Edited on Fri Mar-06-09 10:56 PM by IDemo
The ability by some in the early 21st Century at upper tiers of business and government to easily escape responsibility for felonious behavior will not be the cause of disbelieving headshakes by those who read it. The meek acceptance by the masses of such outrages will be.
