Who here believes that Joe Scar was in a band, |
|
around many people who smoked pot, and didn't use any because he was an athlete?
He just said that...
He also said that pot made these people stupid...Al Roker said, "That was your band..." or words to that effect. Ha. Ha. Ha. You're funny, Al...
IF it wee true that he smoked and that his suppostion were also correct, then it would explain a lot about Joey. Or he's nust naturally stupid.
Wonder if that intern would have died if he'd been more 'mellow'.

1. there ARe bands and musicians out there who DON'T smoke pot |
|
I don't like Scarborough, think he's a monumental douche. But there are musicians and bands out there who don't smoke pot, or do other drugs for that matter. And don't plan on starting.
I personally, think he's lying thru his capped teeth. He doesn't look like he could carry a tune in a bucket.

that all musicians do dope: they don't.
I was referring to Joey. He doesn't have that 'moral fiber' and 'willpower'...he's a sleaze artist and a compulsive liar.

8. I've never smoked pot, but have been around many who do |
|
I never noticed the people becoming stupid. I also don't drink alcohol, but have been around many who do--and I have noticed that a few beers or mixed drinks do make people stupid. If I were forced to ride along with someone under the influence of pot or the influence of alcohol, I'd pick the pot smoker every time.

9. It does tend to lessen aggression when used alone. Being a mild psychedelic - you're |
|
doing all you can to keep up with your mind as it can take two hours to venture to the bathroom/kitchen and back. And music sounds "rich" beyond BOSE technology ... you get caught up in the least little detail.
There is also the phenomena of "state dependent learning." I interacted with a few people in my college daze ;) who would take a hit from a water pipe before going to class. Believe it or not, SOME people can function when STONED.

I used to play basketball with fellows who smoked pot. I was actually rather amazed at their level of play. In my brief foray into the herb, I recall the "Richness" of sound and the profundity of ideas that would otherwise not have that much of an impact, and yes I did tend to find things humorous. I stopped because I also got a bit hyper vigilant and I disliked that feeling more than I liked the other effects.
Regarding Joe, I would chalk his statement up to an attempt at self-aggrandizement and judgment on "liberal" rock and roll types. He was too "strong" to use the evil weed and is always searching for someone to look down on.

10. That matches the opinion of Viet Nam veterans. |
|
The general attitude is that I'd far rather have a guy that's high than a guy that's drunk in the same bunker/foxhole with me. The guy that's high can function, while the drunk just gets in the way. I've never heard a combat vet voice a contrary opinion on this.
